All Waters Black Cap and Pre-slit PTFE/Silicone Septum for TruView Vials are manufactured and handled using chemically inert materials to ensure there are no contaminants or impurities present, thereby enabling you to have interference-free results.

Waters recommends pre-slit PTFE/silicone septa, for venting and accurate sample draw. They also reduce the possibility of septum coring in bottom-draw needles. For applications with a volatile solvent that require non-slit septa, there are simple steps you can take to reduce creating a vacuum. Do not fill the vial; leave headspace.

Replacement septa are not offered for all cap types and sizes, as manual assembly is not recommendable due to contamination risk and possible wrong side orientation. Nevertheless, for the most common sizes and septa materials we offer them along with the appropriate empty caps.

All vials had the first injections with significantly lower areas than the following injections. Prior to this OOS, we allocated the caps with non-cut septa for the Dionex HPLC, and the caps with pre-cut septa for the Shimadzu HPLC.
